About the organization
The Aggarwal and Gupta Family Foundation has been involved with PSPA since 2008, and donations have provided for the establishment of a 50-acre campus that includes housing, schools, medical facilities, and temples outside the capital of India. The Foundation has also funded the construction of numerous homes, with each accommodating up to 15 children and a caretaker. To date, the organization has provided:
- Formal education to 2,500+ marginalized and vulnerable children
- Vocational training for 3,500+ women and girls
- Specialized care for 100+ children with special needs and disabilities
In addition to the financial support, a cataract surgery camp was created. Over the course of two days, six doctors performed simple, but life-changing procedures to restore vision for more than 500 patients. PSPA has continued this camp, and so far, more than 10,000 community members have received the gift of sight.
